Making this pendant was so enjoyable as the peruvian pink opal itself is a beautiful stone. It has a variety of color variations within it, including white, rose, gray and pink. It is smooth and silky to touch. I used three different weaving patterns on this pendant to surround and support it. I feel the resulting combination of textures of copper as well as the shape of the copper weaving compliment the pink opal, bringing out it’s beauty. A Nicole Hanna design was reference during the fabrication.
